Day 132: Ice-Pops!!

A day of relaxing. Sean and I finally made a grocery run for the week, and then watched most of "How I Met Your Mother" season 1. It's pretty funny, but not as great as "The Big Bang Theory."
We also had a super thunderstorm, and the doggies got really scared. So scared in fact, that my arch enemy dog (Lightening) jumped up in my lap for comfort from the thunder.

Sean and I went running this morning, then took some pictures for Mom.I've always liked this tree in front of our school.
After that it was swimming and wii time at Peter's house.
fun day!

Day 129: Our house is just one huge Dead Zone for cell phones

Ok, so, this was "last night" but technically it was today b/c it was after midnight. We all stayed up and played lots of fun card games and had a BLAST!
It was great to see my Chasey-poo and Andrea....ooh yeah, and Baby Landon too!

*a little venting*
I hate having to go outside every time I want to talk to someone. And it's not like it's just outside on the porch....my phone only likes to work when i go all the way off our property, aka the end of the driveway or by the fence. grrr!

Day 128: I love my family....even though they are "baby hoggers!"

*Lots of pictures...again*
I was woken up by my beautiful cousins asking me to please do their hair "special" for their last day of school. I couldn't say no to their request. Unfortunately that meant I had to wake up at 0700......after only 3 hours and 30 minutes of sleep.
I came downstairs and when I saw this adorable-ness I had to sneak a picture.
Today is Sean's Graduation from Bookwood High School!Close up of one of the cakes I made Sean.
Chase and Andrea!Congrats Sean-Bug!

Day 127: Pawning off my Farming....

My grandparents came to town for Sean's graduation tomorrow. We did our usual shopping, hanging out, and fun stuff....working hard...

McKenna learned how to use her sewing machine. By the end of the night she completed her first sewing project, a cute pillowcase! She was so determined!I've found a way to get my farming in, without actually having to farm.
Jolie is doing my dirty work for me.
My cousin Chase, his Fiance and baby Landon came up too!!
We didn't go to bed until 0330 b/c we were all up talking and having fun.

Day 126: I dream in HD.

The guys were hard at work cooking our delicious food! It was a great day for outside time.

Happy 24th Anniversary to my wonderful parents! I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful, loving, caring, GREAT, fun/funny family.

"You do smell a little 'outdoors-ey'."

Day 125: Preparation

So, I should probably start getting ready for my debate and cookout for tomorrow...
...yeah, that's a good idea.I've become very familiar with this page.

Day 124: Flowers

Chris and I went plant shopping in Lowes.
They have so many pretty flowers.
Pineapple!
We also saw Iron Man 2 and had a mini "picnic."I found the plant friends like Amo had in her window!

Day 123: Who needs TV when you have YouTube

Chris went to work today, so that means that I have allllllll day to get as much done as I possibly can. I cleaned/vacuumed/mopped/did laundry/did homework/cooked/watched YouTube.

Day 122: Waiting

Chris didn't go to work today, so I got to hang out with him ALL day. It was fun. We watched lots of movies, and ate lots of the delicious lasagna I made for him.He continued to drink lots of water in attempts to flush his little friend out.

Day 121: Not again!

I got a wonderful little phone call from Chris at 0230 this morning. He said he had pain in his lower right quadrant...Of course the first thing I thought as "ooh, sh*t, not another appendicitis!!" But after a little over the phone assessment I told him he should go to the ER, but it probably wasn't his appendix.
It turns out it was a kidney stone, although that's a lot less serious, it still REALLY sucks.
Later, Heather and I were adventurous and changed the air filter.
...which hasn't been changed in at LEAST 2 years...
Apparently the old tenants thought that putting different air fresheners behind the air vent would make our apt smell better....NOT. Is this normal??

Day 120: I'm not dieing

I went to the plastic surgeon today for my arm....yes, a plastic surgeon, that's just where my dr referred me to.
I may or may not have played with the silicone boobies in the room.
I'm always up to no good.

Long story short, the scar and indention on my arm shouldn't get any bigger. There is a way to "fix" it but it'd require anesthesia and like 2-3 surgeries, and apparently there's not much fat on my body, as said by the plastic surgeon, and it'd be difficult to harvest enough to fix it. The stupid person at gcsu's clinic gave an IM steriod shot in the side of my arm, and essentially killed my fat cells in my arm.It was a sad sad day when there were no m&m's in the smiley-face jar at Peter's house.Driving home....to Milledgeville, once more.

Day 119: Back to driving

I've been coming home quite a lot lately, and it's made my schedule a little craZy. I got to spend some quality time with mom and go shopping. It was a pretty darn successful day.Cookies never hurt either.
When I left the house it looked like this.......5 minutes later I saw some of the most beautiful rainbows I've ever seen....
I wish the camera could have captured it better. There were 3 separate rainbows, and you could see EVERY color, and you could see the whole thing, a complete semi-circle.
did you know that rainbows area actually circles? we just can't ever see the whole thing b/c the earth is in the way.

Day 118: Relaxing days

I finally finished Emma's surprise for Graduation/Birthday/going away present.
She informed me that she made it fit in her suitcase to take to Costa Rica.
That made me very happy.
:-)

Day 117: Out for a walk

Dad has found the best way to get Sean and me out of bed...no matter how early it is, this always works."I'm making waffles...if you want any, come down now!" - Dad yelling upstairs at us
Mom, Skittle and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. Skittle was super excited about it for about the first 3 minutes, she then was like "excuse me, what's the point of this? I've peed/poo'd....this is the part where we go back inside." By the end our our little walk, she was soooo tired. She looked pathetic. I guess this means she needs more walks.

Day 116: but I don't want to wake up!

It was so difficult to wake up this morning.
I had a lot of fun hanging out with Ansley yesterday
"I just want to pick out my own pots and pans!!" -Elise
"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to exit the doughnut" - Iron Man 2
I got to hang out with my two besties today. I bought Peter some gummy bears for his b-day....Elise and I ate most of them.

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Day 115: Getting "Homework" done

As my Mom/Aunt/Cousins say.... "HOMEWORK!"
lolz I met with my debate group today and got a lot done.
We're arguing the legalization of assisted suicide in medical fields.
I also got an "interview" done, Thanks Amy/Mrs. Harwood.
Now, on to my paper.
I'm knocking this stuff out and then relaxing.Emma's pile of stuff is growing.
Ansley was in town, and we hung out! YAY
The sky was SO pretty

Day 114: Driving

I've been driving a lot lately, and will continue driving a lot too.
I went to see Chris today. I haven't seen him in about 2 weeks.
I promise I have clothes on, it's just a strapless dress.
It made me happy to get to hang out with him for a little bit.

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Day 113: Doing lots of Work

I've decided to get all of the tests done that I can for my class so that I'm not stressed throughout the semester.
I finished 15 tests today!! HOORAY!I came home from a "fun" Dr's visit and saw Sean covered in chocolate syrup....he had an interesting day at school.

Day 112: Maymester Begins!

Mom drove down to Milledgeville with me last night so I didn't have to drive back at night, and then be all alone in Milly. It was a fun trip, and having her in the car definitely made the drive go faster.I started my Maymester class (Legal and Ethics). It doesn't seem like it's going to be too bad. We only meet like 8 times, and we're done on May 26th (my brother's graduation day), so that will be awesome!CUBE!Later that night was Sean's Honor's Awards Night.

Day 111: Happy Mother's Day

Here at the White House, we like a little excitement.
It was definitely one of those situations where you know help is on the way, but time slows down and it seems like it will be FOREVER before they get here.I never realized how helpful these signs were. When you're in the situation, you mind goes completely blank, and even the simplest talk of driving to the hospital becomes difficult. I pass by this hospital every day when I'm at home, yet somehow in the situation I found myself relying on these signs. Dad is ok and home now. It could have been one of a few things, anxiety, a TIA (transient ischemic attack), or a vasovagal problem.
The good news is that his ct's of the head and chest came back normal.
Thanks God!We finally did something "normal" on Mother's Day and went to Bruster's for some yummy ice cream.Aunt Mandy was feeling a little gypped because she got a little cup and mom got a big waffle cone and 2 scoops for FREE!Please note my sneaky photo taking skills here.
People watching is really fun/funny.
