Day 13: How many tests do we have this semester?

I bet you can't guess what I did today.

If it starts with St- and ends in -udy, then you'd be correct.
I also did a lot of laundry, cleaned, and studied some more.
My new liscense plate came today! YAY!! Thanks Mom.

Day 12: Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.

Project 365Amy and I were being good and studying late last night, so technically it was "today". It's a boy!! I got to go to my cousin's baby shower today. It was very exciting to get to see him, and meet his girlfriend and their family.My cousin Chase and me!!

Day 11: "Make work your new favorite"

Day 10: I'm turning into a Study-a-holic!

Ooh friends, if only I had my camera today, I would have had some jewels for you. We were in lab today from 9-4, and there were definitely some interesting manikins. I'll try to get some pictures of them next time. Gotta love nursing school.

Here's the second most exciting thing I did today.

Day 9: Studying is the number one cause of napping.

The nap fairy snuck up on my again today while I was studying. I got through 4 chapters before my eyelids glued themselves shut. I even inspired Emma to take a nap b/c I looked so peaceful.

I got a grade back for a dosage calculation test.................Chris changed his profile picture, and it made me happy, so here it is.

Day 8: I'd like to ask the audience please....

This is what I get for trying to relax for 45 minutes and paint.

Does anyone know how to get acrylic paint out of 10000 year old carpet?
This is after 7 dampened paper towels, and vigorous scrubbing, can you imagine what it looked like before I started cleaning?
Interestingly enough, it happens to be the primary colors I was using...can you guess what I'm painting?

Day 7: Just another day....

We made it!! All the way to a week of blogging. YAY!

Today was a fun adventure day. We went shopping, and I became captain of a ship.
Very productive day.

Day 6: Oops!

Slight problem. I left my camera at Chris's place....which will put a damper on my picture taking project. Who knew you needed a camera to take pictures??

Good news!! Emma is letting me borrow her camera to take pictures this week, so that makes life better!

I know this picture is really strange, but I was playing around with my photo editor, and this is what happened.Again, I was playing with my editor.
This was what I've been looking at pretty much all day. I have one exam a week from here on out, so my life is pretty much consumed with studying. Prepare to only see pictures of me studying for the rest of the semester. hehe. Hopefully I'll see the light of day sometime.

Day 5: Chillaxin

Not much went on today. The usual studying and hanging out with Chris. We played monopoly, and guess what??? I went to jail, a lot. It never fails, I just have bad luck at this game.

Day 4: I like Turtles

Awoken by multiple text messages, phone calls, and voice mails at 4am from GCSU, I was stunned to learn that there was an armed person on campus. My first thought? Why are they telling us this at 4am? No students have a class that early!! We don't even have class till 8am. Basically they just wanted to wake us up and give us a mini panic attack in the middle of the night.

This is what I got for my cousin's baby shower. Lots of cute/practical stuff. I couldn't help it. I'm a nursing student, of course the first thing I thought of was safety stuff and medicine dispensers.

Day 3: Lub-Dub

Class as usual today. We think that the construction workers hit a gas line outside though, because it smelled REALLY bad in our classroom after a while.

We're learning how to read/interpret EKG strips.

I saw this shirt at Wal-Mart, and it made me laugh because I ALWAYS go to jail more times that I pass GO in Monopoly. Emma and I combined our colors and made this giant box of happiness. It is so bright and cheery. :-D

Day 2: Hugs

This week's unit is Cardiovascular, and our teacher was talking about heart transplants. We were shocked to know that in the U.S. we leave the "old" heart in the chest cavity in a heart transplant. It is not removed. We then decided that these patients had it better b/c they could say "I love you with all of my heartS" They had more love to give. Well, for those of you who don't know, our teacher basically knows everything there is to know about hearts, and then some. We learned some "and then some" today.
Apparently there is a right and wrong way to give a hug. Our teacher demonstrated today the proper way to give a hug. (Not like the air hug you do with kids for legal reasons, but a real hug). I digress. You are supposed to line up your hearts when giving a hug, so left side of the front chest to the other person's heart so that the person really knows you love them. I've never heard of this before, but it is a neat way to think about it.
The day is hardly over, but I am pretty sure it will consist of reading. I started Enrique's Journey yesterday for our Peds class, and have had a hard time putting it down. It is very good, but also very graphic.

Pretty good so far.

This is just the beginning

Ok, so today after class and the usual stresses I went on a walk with some great friends. We got a little exercise in, and I was persuaded by the lovely Ansley to start Project 365. Today, being Day 1, is going to start my journey into the last year of my Nursing Student career. I figured that my shoes would be a good picture to start the year off right. I hopefully will be walking more and getting more exercise, as well as a finishing up one journey and starting a new one. It also means forward motion and progress towards a degree. It's not going to be a easy year, but it will definitely be a journey, that's for sure.

I'm looking forward to the next 364 days of photos.

New Years Eve.

This pretty much sums up life at the White House. This is a fun occasion every New Years Eve. We begin our favorite bake-off of Pizza Pina! We're pretty hard core.
